Helderberg Rugby Club History

The Helderberg Rugby Football Club (RFC) inherited history goes back to 1904 when the Somerset Rugby Club was founded, as described in the rugby club history section.

As from 2009, the Stellenbosch Rugby Academy plays their rugby at the Helderberg Rugby Football Club. The Stellenbosch Rugby Academy specializes in the practical fulltime development of successful rugby players, sports coaches, fitness instructors and sports managers. The rugby academy also provides comfortable student accommodation on the campus for qualified participants. Players also participate in the Stellenbosch student activities.
